My Whole30 - Day 9

The

Day 9. Gonna keep it short and sweet. The energy that I felt on Day 8 suddenly disappeared on Day 9. I was sad. I was feeling major bad food cravings which led me to over-snack. I didn't eat anything off-plan, but I just kept eating! It is getting close to my monthly cycle, so I'm thinking that may have something to do with it. As long as I can keep my will power up and continue to make good choices, I should be able to make it through the next week or so. I'm guessing it's going to be the most challenging!

Hormones, why do you drive us so coo-coo?

DAY 9 - WHOLE30 EATS

BREAKFAST: Two egg omelet with 2 slices of organic roast beef and some fresh salsa. Muy bueno!
LUNCH: Two different burgers (FTR they were small!). One with guac, bacon and onion; One with almond butter and bacon. Bacon was all natural, organic with no added nitrites or nitrates. It looks like a lot, but those were 1 slice per burger. Oh and I had a side of roasted cauliflower with cumin, paprika, and cinnamon. The bomb.
DINNER:  Left over roasted cauliflower from lunch and a grilled organic hot dog (again no added crap), all in a leafy bun.
Can you tell I was in a comfort food kind of mood? Burgers, hot dogs, bacon? Ay, yi, yi.

Snacks: I didn't snap pictures of all of my snacks, but I had many. Larabar, orange, banana, oh and another Larabar before bed. BAD IDEA I know, but I was headed straight to the freezer for ice cream. I should have just gone to bed. You win some, you lose some.

I made another trip to Wegmans this evening to restock up on veggies and some protein. Turns out I'm going through veggies and fruit a lot faster than one would think and/or want to pay for! Love that store, but I don't love what it's doing to our wallet.

I have to remember that I do love what it's doing (and will do) for my BODY!

OH and just because this picture makes me laugh EVERY TIME I look at it:

Thanks to my friend Matt for posting this on Facebook. Best post ever.
